Plaça de la Font

We didn’t really have any fixed itinerary here in Tarragona. We just happened to run into some of the more important structures here in town. The first was the Roman Amphitheater and the second was the Circo Romano. We were looking for a place to eat before we continue on our exploration. We were randomly follow a street which seemed to have some local food. As it turned out, it is didn’t appeal to us but we did discover a more interesting area for lunch. It was an open space which was surrounded by four buildings. It is more like a plaza but this plaza was surrounded by numerous eating places.

This place is called that Plaça de la Font or Fountain Square. I’m not too sure where the name came from as I didn’t notice any fountain here. The important thing is that there are a lot of eating places here. The plaza itself is very nice and I thought that it was a nice place to hang out. I do not know if this is a famous place but there seemed to be a good number of people hanging out here. First order of business would be to find a place to eat.
