It seems that I was surprisingly early here. There were hardly any people here. I was quite pleased to see this and it seems I have time to spare before I can start exploring the Old Town of Segovia. It would have time for some breakfast. Along the length of the aqueduct at the town center were some chairs. Thing you would find in cafe. There were a few cafes or restaurants in the area. However, it seems tha there were still not open. A few were starting to clean up in preparation for opening hours. I chanced upon this cafe which was already open. A group of cyclists have already started having their breakfast here so i think I have found the place where I would be having mine.

It seems that it is a place which specializes in chocolate drinks. A chocolateria, as it is called, it pretty much the same as a cafe which serves coffee. I admit that I don’t have a huge fondness of coffee, however, I have a great fondness for chocolate. It is not very often that I can see this kind of place so I decided to try some of their chocolate drinks. For breakfast, I ordered one of the famous Spanish snacks – churros. Churros, for those who don’t know, something like fried dough strips. It is normally sprinkled with sugar and dipped in, what else, chocolate.

It seems it has been a while that I had some churros and I really miss this. The one I usually have comes with a rich chocolate dip. While my chocolate drink is no chocolate drink compared to that, I loved the drink here. I really feels like those home made chocolate drinks from long ago. The chocolateria itself is very nice and clean. There didn’t seem to have been enough staff in the shop as the one taking the orders and the one preparing the drinks are the same person. I wasn’t in a real hurry though. Fortunately, I managed to signal and point my way to my order and it managed to get there. One would think that for such a popular tourist destination, the people here would understand English better.
