Los Pasos Inside the Cathedral of Toledo

From that small peek I got of the Cathedral of Toledo, it already piqued my interest. That side entrance allowed people to go in the church but it was fenced out up to a certain point, can you can’t really see much beyond it was the church is much, much larger than it seemed. I hurriedly stepped out of the cathedral and went around it to find where the main entrance was. On the opposite side of the other side entrance, there was the tourist information center and it was here there people purchase tickets. The although the ticket wasn’t cheap for entering a church, I think it was around eight euros, but this was a place I think was worth visiting. There is probably a tourist pass for entering the cathedral but I didn’t bother buying it. Additionally, the ticket came with an audio guide. I normally don’t bother with audio guides since they usually cost extra but this was included in the ticket. I think they really want you to know more about the church. Oh, you need to leave an ID with them in exchange for the audio guide, you can get it back later.

I was quite excited to enter the church and start with the audio guide. There were numbers throughout the church and you can key in the number to let the audio guide speak. Conveniently, the audio guide came with headphones, so you do not need to keep holding the audio guide on one hand and your camera or phone on the other. Unfortunately, my audio guide seemed to be set to French but for the life of me, I couldn’t get it to change back to English, I had to go back to the information center and have it changed to English. Now, that I can understand what is being said, it was time to explore this beautiful church.
