Former Government Office Now a Museum at the Historic City of Toledo

If you take the bus from the Toledo Railway Station to the Historic City of Toledo, you would undoubtedly find yourself dropped at the Plaza de Zocodover. Even if you walked all the way up here, you will still find yourself here. Plaza de Zocodover is a central square of the Historic City of Toledo. It as you might expect, much of the important structures of Toledo are built here. In the olden days, there was a an Arab market here from which it got it rather un-Spanish-like name. There were also performances held here including bullfights and even public executions.

These days, the plaza is the center of activity of Toledo. It is surrounded by numerous buildings all with shops and restaurants below them. This place is probably one of the most important landmarks here as it is very recognizable. Not surprisingly, there are a lot of people here and it was nice to watch other people here. So how popular is this place? There is a McDonald’s here.
