Dublin Castle at Night

I quickly got out of the Chester Beatty Library and I was already at the garden area when I realized that I forgot to claim my backpack from the locker. I ran back to the library since I know it was already closing time but I was too late. The library was already closed and the guards at the counter weren’t there anymore. That was certainly quick. Even the bookstore in the library was already closed. I had no choice but to wait it out and after about fifteen minutes someone finally passed by. It was one of the guards of the library, I flashed the key to the locker and he knew what I meant. Interestingly, enough he got the key from me and closed the door again. I was half expecting to be at least let in because of the cold. Anyway, he got me my backpack and all was well.

On the way back from the Chester Beatty Library, I passed by Dublin Castle which by now was already lit up. The castle walls and buildings were light with the nice yellow light, it went well with the quickly darkening sky. The church attached to the Dublin Castle was also lit but it seemed to be closed. I never did get to go in that church since our tour guide never mentioned it. I guess, that is another one of those things which I would need to come back to Dublin for. The castle area quite peaceful, which is probably a complete contrast to the chaos that is happening outside its walls.
