Very Impressive Room at Dublin Castle

After a series of small rooms in Dublin Castle, it seems that we would be ending our tour of the rooms of Dublin Castle with what is probably one of the grandest rooms of them all. Upon entering the room, you would immediately see how special this place it. The ceilings have paintings which are reminiscent of paintings in Rome. The walls were blue in color while the pillar were gold. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling make this room even more beautiful. As it turns out, this is where some very important activities are still held.

Our tour guide was still with us and he was telling us that this was one of the most important rooms still in use in Dublin Castle. Though admittedly, it doesn’t happen that often. This is the room where presidential inaugurations are held in Dublin Castle. On one side of the room, you can see that there is a hidden level which is kind of hidden in the dark, the walls are dark in color and you could miss that spot, but that was where the president takes his oath of office. Aside from inaugurations, grand banquets are held whenever there are visits from other heads of state. I can’t blame them for choosing this room, it really looks grand.
