Other Rooms in Dublin Castle

Our tour guide was very informed about the castle and he was telling us interesting stories about each room. It seems that he knew a lot about the castle and would answer any questions which were raised. We were actually just exploring one wing of Dublin Castle, I suspected that the other wings were for official use only. Perhaps only this part was the only one left as it was while the rest of the castle was renovated. Other rooms in Dublin Castle were just as grand and were of varying shapes and sizes.

One room was circular in shape and another even had dolls as exhibits. I never did get to find out what the dolls for. I can only suspect that these were used by the kids who lived here when their parents did. It was interesting to see these artifacts preserved and that they are no open for viewing by visitors. It was also fortunate, that although the Irish disliked the English, they kept the building and chose to keep parts of it as it is.
