I finally got out of Saint Stephen’s Green, it was an okay park but I didn’t think there was anything special with it. The park is just another park, just has more people in it. On the way out, I passed by one of the more prominent structures which can still be considered part of Saint Stephen’s Green. It is the Fusilier’s Arch. The arch stands as one of the gates which you use to enter or exit the park. It reminds me of some well known arches in Europe, this one however was modeled after the Arch of Titus in Rome.

I didn’t even know what a fusilier was, apparently it can refer to a soldier. This Fusilier’s Arch is dedicated to the fusiliers who joined the Second Boer War at the turn of the century. The arch itself isn’t very large but it is large enough to serve as the gate for the park. The people here don’t seem to pay attention to the arch itself as they were just heading straight into the park. I would probably consider the arch one of the most interesting spots in the park itself. I guess once you go in through these arch you can go a quick round around the park and come back out.
