It would seem to be another one of those days where it would rain the whole day. I was hoping that there would be another one of those four seasons in one day weather but this didn’t seem to be, I still have a couple of days to go here in Dublin, so I can still afford to take it easy. Next order of the day is lunch. Having stayed in our town in county Donegal for a while, I realized that there was not much variety when it comes to food in town. I’m a huge fan of Asian food and I have been craving for some ever since I came here, however, the most I have seen are some Chinese fast food and some Indian restaurants. I didn’t try any of those though, but now that I am here in Dublin, I thought I would try some Indian food. There was this area in the town center which seemed to be a large commercial area, there were a lot of restaurants as well. I ended up choosing the restaurant strangely named Diwali.

Now, the name Diwali is the name of the most important festival of the Indians, to name it Diwali is like naming your restaurant Christmas or something similar. Anyway, the restaurant was a godsend for me since it was warm inside in total contrast to the cold and wet weather that was threatening to ruin my day. I ended up ordering some lamb kebab and Himalayan lamb curry. This was recommended to me by the waiter and they turned out to be wonderful. The lamb curry was particularly surprising since I thought it was ordinary Indian curry but it turned out to be a a bit sweet and perhaps a little cheesy, I wasn’t really very sure. For the princely sum of 9.90 euros, I thought it was a good deal, considering all the other alternatives in the area. I enjoyed my meal at Diwali and I will go back there to try all the other stuff they have. In the meantime, I hung around the restaurant for a while since it was still raining, not only that, it was warm in the restaurant.
