Approaching the Church of Ireland in Donegal Town

We were quickly done wandering around Donegal Castle, it was nice but I guess still underwhelming. I think I really expect a lot from castles as I have been spoiled by the grand castles I see in the movies. The area around Donegal Castle seems to be an interesting area. There were a few structures here in the area who sport the same look as Donegal Castle, that is, stone walls. This made for a very picturesque scene as you would feel that you as somehow in the middle ages. Right across the street from Donegal Castle is another stone walled structure, this was the Donegal Church of Ireland.

You can classify the Church of Ireland as something very similar to the Anglican Church, however because of the split between Ireland and the English, the church in Ireland, has split off from the Church of England to be the Church of Ireland. It has a significant following in largely Catholic Ireland and can be seen in the presence of various churches all over the country. Donegal has its own Church of Ireland. It sits on top of a small elevation just beside the Donegal Castle, I don’t think they could have chosen a better location that this. It is at the center of town and just a stone’s throw away from the town square.
