I was fortunate enough to have a friend already settled in at Ireland. This makes it easier for me to go around as this area doesn’t really have very convenient public transportation. County Donegal is one of the most beautiful places in the already beautiful country of Ireland. This county is not as well developed as other parts of the country but it is still fairly well connected. This place is known for its wild and raw landscapes which made Ireland famous in the first place. Being based in County Donegal I would have a grand opportunity to explore this beautiful corner of the country. However, much like the rest of Ireland, one would need a car to best explore this place.

Fortunately, for me, at least for now, my friend was still happy to bring around county Donegal. I believe he has already been to numerous places and there is still a lot of places to visit. However, for a visitor who is new to Ireland, one of the places to visit in country Donegal is the famous Glenveagh National Park. I still have problems reading these Irish names since they seem to take letters for use in a name and yet not use them when pronouncing them. This name is pronounced as glen-vey. Glenveagh is one of the premier national parks of Ireland and it is located in the county of Donegal. It is about an hour’s drive from where we are, but along the way you will be treated to a view of the raw countryside of Donegal. There were some towns in between but they are really very small towns and sometimes you won’t even see any people as you drive by.
