Continuing on the Walls of Derry-Londonderry

As we continued walking on the wall of Derry-Londonderry. I realized that this is more like walking on a road rather than on a wall. The wall is really wide enough to drive through but this is all pedestrian only nowadays. It would be interesting to see how it was back there. You can still see shade of its former self as they have left some cannons on the walls. Of course they are not functional. It is but natural that the walls of Derry would have cannons since they were under siege back then and the cannons help to defend the town. At one point you can see a lot of Derry-Londonderry and realize how good a location the walls were.

You can see much of the town of Derry-Londonderry from the wall and this is probably the most optimal part of the land where you can set up a defense position. Most of the town of Derry-Londonderry has grown far beyond the old walls, however it still retains that old world charm than you can only find in Europe. I like visiting these kinds of places and it was these times that I think that it was right to take this chance to move to Europe.
