Going to the Cathedral of St. Eunan and St. Columba

I was starting a new life in the beautiful country of Ireland and just from looking at the highway, I already noted a startling difference between Ireland and the part of the world I came from. There was an incredible amount of greenery here. I have heard much about the weather here and how incredibly fickle it is and I figured that it is precisely because of that weather that there is so much greenery here. It looks like there is much to explore here and I will probably do that even if I have to do it one county at a time. I will be based in the town of Letterkenny in County Donegal, which is considered to be one of the more remote parts of the country. In fact, if you look at the map you can see County Donegal seemingly out of place from the rest of the country. And it also shows in the landscape of the county itself. It is very raw and very wild, the place is at the mercy of the very fickle elements.

Being very curious, I immediately set out to explore the town I will be staying in for the foreseeable future. It is a very small town and I think I won’t have too much trouble doing this. It is really a big change for me to suddenly move to a small town like this one. Hopefully, there are a lot more sights to see here in town to keep me occupied. One of the most visible landmarks here in the town is the Cathedral of St. Eunan and St. Columba. You can see it looming over the town and you can’t miss it. The cathedral is within walking distance from where I was staying and it is probably the first place I would want to visit.
