Moving on to the Cathedral Cave

Approaching Cathedral Cave

We didn’t really stay too long in Codognon Cave. There wasn’t much to explore within the cave. I was hoping there would be some kind of tour where the guide would show us numerous rock formation which supposedly look like other stuff. This was my experience at the Puerto Princesa Underground River as well as other rock oriented destinations in other parts of the world. Unfortunately, Codognon Cave is more significant for its historical and archeological value rather than aesthetic value. Either way, everybody else in the cave was getting off the island and heading to the next island.

The next island is also nearby. It seems like this is another cave which we will be visiting. Cathedral Cave is the next destination and basing on the name of the cave, I have a general idea of what we would be able to see here. The Puerto Princesa Underground River also has a place in there which is called the cathedral and I think it would be very similar. From afar the island doesn’t really look much I guess much of the interesting things to see here would be found inside.
