Climbing Up the Viewpoint of Calitang Beach

Up There is the Viewpoint to See Calitang Beach

I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was another beach behind Nacpan. The Calitang Beach is not as pretty as the Nacpan Beach but it was passable. It was not as wide either but I don’t seem to have the urge to explore Calitang Beach. However, I was told that there is a viewpoint where we can view all of this area. I love going to viewpoint as they almost always provide a view seldom seen. This area doesn’t have a lot of very tall mountains. There is a small hill where you can climb up and it seems that this was the place to get to the viewpoint. I was walking ahead of the gang and I was looking for a flight of stairs to climb to get to the viewpoint – there wasn’t any.

At this point, I noticed that there seemed to a way lot more rubbish than normal. Numerous plastic water bottles washed ashore here. I would guess that this part of Calitang Beach seems to be place which catches all the rubbish brought to it by the sea. The current here seem to indicate that. It is rather sad as well to see so much rubbish wash ashore here and yet the villager don’t seem to bother about it. It was really an ugly sight. Anyway, my friend pointed out to be the flight of stairs we will be climbing. It was barely visible and it doesn’t seem to be very well trodden. The grass in this area are very tough and they will cut, so caution is very much advised. With heavy camera in hand or neck, I set out to climb the stairs.
