Crossing Over to Calitang Beach

A Look at Calitang Beach

A Look at Calitang Beach

Nacpan Beach was impressive enough for me. With its three kilometer white sand beach and total lack of tourism. This seems to be the perfect place to get away from it all. Nacpan is an undeveloped village which happens to sit right next to this beautiful beach. Although much of the beachfront is already bought over, there are still no resorts to speak of. You can still come here to enjoy the beach but this is usually done as a day trip either with your own motorcycles or a tricycle for hire like what we did. However, Nacpan Beach is not the only place you can visit here.

Turns out, there is a neighboring village on the other side of this peninsula. Its name is Calitang, and to my surprise, this place also has a beach. The beach here isn’t as nice as powdery white Nacpan Beach, it is still a decent beach. Numerous outrigger canoes where parked in the land near the beach and it provided me with the perfect cover from the blistering heat. Didn’t your mom ever tell you not to go out in the afternoon sun? This can’t be healthy. Anyway, we still need to explore parts of Calitang Beach, hopefully I can find the strength to do so as the heat is sapping all of my strength.
