There wasn’t much market to go around here in the San Jose Public Market. It was small but quite busy. The market is split into two sections, the wet market where all the seafood is sold and the dry market, where all sorts of other stuff is sold. Rice in particular seems to be sold here. Numerous varieties of rice are sold here with varying prices. They didn’t seem to be that cheap either considering they are local.

Life is so much simpler here and although it is still possible to get some conveniences here in the market, most of the stuff sold here is basic. This is a far cry from the shiny and gigantic shopping malls of Manila but the people here don’t need those. Oh, did I mention that they were very friendly? I was walking around with my camera and a guy fixing something called out to me and asked me to take his photo. I have decided to include his photo in my post here. People in the provinces are much nicer and this is just an example of them.
