Tagatay is host to one of the most spectacular vistas in the country. This location used to be where one of the world’s largest volcanoes which literally blew its top off. The resulting caldera is now where the current Taal Lake sits. The modern city of Tagaytay sits on a ridge overlooking the caldera giving visitors unparalleled views of what is now the worlds smallest volcano. There is this saying about what goes up probably applies to volcanoes as well.

We just finished having a very late lunch at LZM and we crossed the road to get a better view of the lake. Leslie’s is another popular restaurant here in Tagaytay and I would remember how we would always comes here for some get together. Part of the attraction here at Leslie’s is that they set up seats which are overlooking the lake. Some parts feature huts which you need to climb to access. The views here are marvelous and your meal would be all the more satisfying with that kind of view. The climate here is wonderfully cool and it is great change from the steaming hot weather that is Manila. It is hard to believe Tagaytay is just an hour and a half away from Manila.
