Landing at Shenzhen Baoan International Airport 深圳宝安国际机场

Well, my flight finally arrived and were were quickly whisked into the plane. My flight will take me to the southern boomtown of Shenzhen. Most of our electronics are probably made somewhere in Shenzhen. As a result, many businesses have set up shop here. The development of Shenzhen has been phenomenal from a swampy wasteland just north of Hong Kong to the economic miracle that it is today. The flight from Kunming to Shenzhen will only take two hours. I was on my way out of the country so I decided to pass by this place to catch up with some friends.

For the many times that I have been to Shenzhen, I have never been to their airport. Most of the time I would be taking the train from Hong Kong into the city. The other time bypassed the city and head to Guangzhou to take a flight. In this case, it would be convenient for me to fly to Shenzhen and at the same time meet up with friends. I suppose it would also be a good chance to see the developments at this airport. From the moment we landed I already saw what would be another engineering marvel. The construction of Terminal 3 of Shenzhen Baoan International Airport is nearing its end. By the time this article is published, it is probably already operational. It looks impressive and I want to be able to visit this place some day. With the enlarged terminal, there might be no more reason for me to pass through Guangzhou on the way to the rest of China. Plus, I get to drop by Hong Kong to boot!
