One of the major sights here at Cangshan is the Seven Dragon Maidens Pool. The Chinese typically give rather ordinary places rather colorful names, partly in an effort to drum up support for the place. The Seven Dragon Maidens Pool is basically a natural cascade which formed seven pools over the years. This place isn’t particularly famous so I don’t really expect much from this place but since we were already exploring Cangshan to begin with, we might as well take a look.

The Seven Dragon Maidens Pool is only a short distance away from the Chinese bridge which crosses the water coming from the pools. From here you can see where the water comes from. The water here isn’t as plentiful as the previous falls we have been to, but it is enough to create these seven pools. Interestingly enough, it is possible to traverse the rocks going up the dragon maidens pool. I have to see how safe it is before attempting this.
