As we were looking at the maps in Cangshan, we noticed one of the more interesting places here in the mountain. There is a place called the Seven Dragon Maiden Pools 七龙女池. Immediately, images of beautiful pools formed in my mind. Fortunately, this was one of the places we would be passing through in our hike here in Cangshan. The mountain isn’t completely deserted but it seems not everyone is on the same trail as us. The trails are distributed throughout the mountain so people don’t just crowd into one spot.

The trail at Cangshan is very easy and can be covered in an hour or two. I was in no rush to go through the mountain as I didn’t have any plans for the day. I knew that we were approaching the Seven Dragon Maiden Pool when I started to hear water. I think these are just a group of pools which formed from water flowing from above. I though it was a pretty typical name for these kinds of places in China. A nice Chinese bridge greets us here and before we know it we were already there.
