Maitreya Hall 弥勒殿

I apologize if the posts seems like I was just going through the motions of visiting each an every hall in the Chongsheng Temple Park. It really was since I only have very little time to explore the entire park as the park will be closing in less than an hour. Not a lot of time, but I think it can be done. I do not recommend this kind of exploring for anyone as you lose the sense of wonder of just discovering something new in this place. Though I somehow suspect that as long as you have visited the Three Pagodas, you should be good to go.

The next hall is the Maitreya Hall, again this is a very, very Buddhist centric park and it is not really surprising as the Chongsheng Temple served as the Royal temple of the Dali back then when it was an independent kingdom. Much of the temple was destroyed in subsequent wars but it has since been rebuilt very recently. It and the Three Pagodas now serve as Dali’s number one attraction.
