Going to the Chongsheng Temple 崇圣寺

This is really a mad dash from on place to another, I only have an hour to get to the end of this park before it closes. Believe it or not, I really think I can make it. The halls here all tend to look alike which doesn’t leave me any time to linger. One good side of this is that there are hardly any people here. Considering that this is the number one attraction of Dali, this is a very good change of pace. Even the Three Pagodas itself didn’t have any tourists, probably one or two popped by before moving on.

The Chongsheng Temple is laid out much like other temples in the country, so it was hall after hall after hall. I have gotten used to this kind of layout, for sure that they look nice but I have seen too many of them to keep me there. I was taking one or two photos of the halls before moving on. The halls all have the typical Ming and Qing aesthetics which tell you that this is a Chinese temple. Add the fact that the Chongsheng Temple here is just a reconstruction of the one which was destroyed previously.
