There wasn’t any way to go but forward. I was walking on the road heading to the Tiger Leaping Gorge. The Yangtze River is just right beside me. On my right are tall mountains which keep the river in check and on my right is slightly elevated land. Once in a while I would see some settlements here but for the most part, there isn’t really anything to see here. Forward is a different matter, as more and more tall mountains appear and disappear from view. The weather is changing quite fast that I would see the mountain one moment and I won’t the next. The mountains looked imposing and my understanding is that these is part of the Haba Snow Mountain range.

Slowly but surely, the road here is getting higher and higher. It the incline was quite gentle so I didn’t have a difficult time climbing the road. I supposed if I took the actual hiking trail, I wouldn’t have as easy time as this one. The way things are going, things are really looking very promising since there are most gorgeous mountains up ahead. I probably still have a few more kilometers to go and I am getting excited on what lies ahead.
