Quiet Walk in the Black Dragon Pool Park 黑龙潭

I decided against going up the Elephant Hill, for fear of getting stuck on the hill when a rainstorm would suddenly come. The sky was actually threatening me with rain and it has already been drizzling throughout the day. As a matter of fact, I was at the old town of Baisha that afternoon and I got caught in a heavy downpour. It is possible that that same rain cloud already caught up with me here in Lijiang. To be stuck in such a storm on top of a hill would be terrible.

As a result, I decided to continue to walk down the path at the foot of Elephant Hill. The path seems to be wind its way further and further until it seems that it just melds into some residential areas. I realized that it was an incredibly beautiful place to stay in. The residences here would have access to one of the most acclaimed scenery in China. At this point, the water seems to be more plentiful. I’m not sure what is wrong with the pool downstream but it seems to be perfectly fine here. Maybe it is a case of overdevelopment and overpumping?
