The Diqing Red Army Long March Museum was not really inspiring, this was primarily because I didn’t know the history behind the photos shown inside the museum. I didn’t care much about that. There was another museum in the square which seems to be more interesting, at least it is not related to Chinese history. Directly across was the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Region Museum, this mouthful of a name is probably just as complex in Chinese 迪庆藏族自治州博物馆. Let’s just call it the Diqing Tibetan Museum.

The museum building looks much like the other buildings in the area. It doesn’t really look like a museum, and neither did the previous one, which looked like a Tibetan temple. From the name itself I could already guess what this museum was all about. Tibetan culture is also rich and has intermingled with Chinese culture for hundreds of years. I think it would be interesting to see what this musuem has.
