Spicy Squid For Dinner at Perhentian Kecil
We had a very long day exploring all the interesting points of Perhentian Kecil. The island hopping tour was something I hadn’t done in a long, long time and it was a welcome break from all the trouble I had been experiencing at work. Somehow it feels like I’m a million miles away from all that. The internet connection issues and the mobile phone connection issues all help to enhance that feeling of isolation. There wasn’t much to do at Perhentian Kecil at night as there were no shopping malls here, the closest you probably get to a night life would be dancing on the beach.
Dinner Under the Stars at Perhentian Kecil
So it was time for dinner, we were quite satisfied with the food we had here at Perhentian Kecil and was relieved that the prices don’t try to gouge the tourists here, despite being the only choice in this island. The resorts along the beach all have their own restaurants and you can easily pick any to satisfy your hunger. The best choices here would be seafood as these will be as fresh as they can get.
Buttered Shrimp for Dinner at Perhentian Kecil
This time we ordered some buttered shrimp and squid. It didn’t seem to be very local either but I wasn’t complaining. The squid was quite spicy but nothing that I couldn’t handle. While the shrimp could have done a little better since there were only a couple of pieces given. Considering that this is all fresh from the sea, I thought they could have been more generous. It was nice finish to such a busy day. I was already stressing out about having to go back to work the following day. In the meantime, I will enjoy this while it lasts.
