Eerie Foundation of the Lighthouse
I spent a little time in the water at the lighthouse. I was content to enjoy observing the daredevils jumping off from the lighthouse into the water, all the while wondering if the water here was deep enough. My co-tourists were having a field day swimming with the numerous fish at the lighthouse. My friend also told me he saw some rays swimming in the coral. The reef here seems to be very healthy which was attracting the fish. It is a virtuous cylce since the fish here would attract even more fish, which would ensure the health of the reef. Our boatman managed to take photos of the foundation of the lighthouse and the photos were revealing.
Numerous Fish on the Surface of the Water
The foundations were just ordinary piles of concrete but they have been inhabited by sea creatures and a visit to this part is rather otherworldly. It was just like swimming through some shipwreck. If I even do shipwreck diving, I think it would feel like this – somewhat creepy. I was grateful for the photos of Kazman since I don’t get a chance to see how it really looks like underneath. It seems that he hwas invested much on his camera and has improved on his skill. He sells the photos he takes to his clients for MYR 20, think of it as additional income on top of the island hopping tour.
