Under the Sea at Perhentian Kecil

Is That You Nemo?

The lighthouse at Perhentian Kecil is one of our last stops here in our island hopping tour. It has been a fruitful trip as I was able to get a whole bunch of photos. Our boatman Kazman was able to take the rest that I could not get since I don’t have an underwater casing for my camera. The area around the lighthouse was surprisingly the richest among all the places we have been to. The amount of marine life here astounded me. The coral here were very much alive and very colorful. It was just like watching the aquarium channel. The fish also didn’t seem to be fazed by the presence of humans, I guess they have been conditioned to think that humans bring food.

True enough, the visitors to this reef brought bread to feed the fish here. It was just like the one ion Turtle Beach but I think there were much more fish here. I was content to just float around in the water and observe the fish. I don’t have any food with me but it didn’t seem to matter since the fish were literally all over the place. I was kind of surprised as well since there were a lot of fish so close to the shore. I think it was probably because of the presence of the coral reef here that there were so many fish. There weren’t extremely large fish like the one we saw at Turtle Point, perhaps there would be if we waited long enough.
