Morning Walk at Long Beach in Perhentian Kecil

Long Beach in the Morning at Perhentian Kecil

The morning sun was fast rising and warming the rest of the island. We just finished a productive sunrise photoshoot. It could have been better if I had brought along my filters but this would do. We have also done watching the fish feed on the surface of the water, at the same time bear witness to the danger that lurks beneath them. The jetty at Long Beach was the perfect place to observe all these and to top it all off, we were the only ones there, except of course that man who sat at the rocks to watch the sunrise. I don’t get to see too many sunrises since I am not a morning person. Just seeing that makes it all worth the trouble and made me wonder why don’t I go and see more of them.

Long Beach is still deserted this early in the morning. It wasn’t tourist season so there weren’t too many people in the island, making it even more deserted. I guess they are also late risers, I can’t blame them. This islands seems to be perfect to do that sort of thing. There was no internet connection during that period so it was like we were cut off from the rest of the world. Interestingly, there was cell phone signal, but I wasn’t really in the mood to get it touch with anyone else. The sand here at Long Beach was just as fine as the one at Coral Bay. I was quite surprised to know that since both sides of the island had good beaches, normally it would only be one side, while the other side will be coarser.
