Random Food at a Stall in Kuala Besut

Well, we finally got on the bus to our destination Kuala Besut. It was a run down bus and it seems that they are the only company which is plying the Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Besut route. There isn’t any competition which is reflected in the shabby state of the bus. It was dark and not airconditioned. The windows were all open anyway at least the breeze is nice. The bus took us through a lot of rural Terengganu state, much of the road was following the coast at we can see how beautiful and peaceful this place is.

Kuala Besut is probably the largest city in this area, but even so, the buildings here aren’t that big. The place feels far removed from the buzz of Kuala Terengganu, itself not exactly a very busy city. We were dropped off at what seems to be a visitor area where we quickly tried to secure onward tickets. We were to take a ferry to our final destination it seems they won’t be leaving yet. Next order of business was lunch it was already way past noon an I was starving. We found a small eatery near the water and had a simple lunch there. It was those point and eat kind of food which wasn’t exactly special. Anyway, it was still decent, fortunately there was shade here as we spent some time waiting for our ferry.
