Sentosa is a small island off Singapore mainland. Lately due to the economic progress experienced by the island state, there has been a surge in real estate projects both on and near the island. It would be interesting to see how Singapore looks as compared to a few years back. It is too bad that Singapore doesn’t have tall mountains like Hong Kong or the sky line would have been very impressive. However, this is not to say that there are no interesting buildings in Singapore. In fact one of the more impressive buildings was recently built just across the island. There is a nice little walkway where I can take a look at Singapore. This place was also where the massives cruise ships pass by. In fact there was a large Star Cruises ship docked when I was there.

I was surprised to see the color of the water in this area. I was always of the impression that Singapore waters can’t be blue in color oweing to the amount to silt that is kicked up whenever a ship passes by. If you don’t know, Singapore is one of the world’s busiest shipping ports, so there will always be ships passing through this area. Anyway, I was delighted to finally see blue waters as it seemed to have been ages since I have seen them. Now if only the beach were nice…
