After Dinner at Qianmen Pedestrian Street 前门大街

Having dinner at the fast food version of Quanjude Restaurant was a rather bizarre experience. While I enjoyed the delicious Peking duck, I can’t help but feel ripped off having eaten at what probably was my most expensive fast food meal ever. Anyway, I decided to walk away the little duck meat that I had for dinner along the pleasant Qianmen Pedestrian Street. There were people walking about here but they weren’t as rowdy as the ones I would see in Wanfujing, perhaps Qianmen was classier than Wangfujing?

I decided to walk my way be to the subway station which was at Tiananmen East Station, this was a fair amount of walking since I would need to go way back to Tiananmen Square. As the biggest square in the world, it really needs a lot of walking. There was a station nearby Qianmen but I didn’t want to change trains anymore. Along the way, the lights of Qianmen Street really give much character to the area and even the nearyby historical buildings such as the archery tower of Zhengyang Gate are also lit up. Really very nice.
