I officially didn’t know where I was, I was still in the Yuanmingyuan Park, but it was so vast that the directions pointing to the exits didn’t seem to make sense. I was at the western portion of the park and I remember that there were around nine major points of interest. However, I sort of lost interesting in the entire park as I was already running behind my schedule. I have to remember that the sun sets earlier in this part of the world so I needed to get out of the park as soon as possible.

Are Those Oranges I See?

I decided to just follow people I see, it was already mid-afternoon so most probably people will be starting to leave as well. Along the way were some nice autumn scenery, lame by normal standards but I just had to take photos of them. There was even what appeared to be an orange tree complete with fruit. The locals were pointing it out and indeed the oranges stand out. It turned out that I was on the right tracks since the signs to the exit were getting more and more frequent. I heaved a sigh of relief when I reached familiar territory as I was only too glad to be out of that park. It was nice, but three hours might not be enough to cover the entire area.
