Fuhai Lake at Yuanmingyuan Park 圆明园

The Yuanmingyuan Park in Beijing has three major areas of interest. Major meaning it was at least an hour to explore each one of them. I was done with the first one and was already trying to move to the next one when I encountered a large body of water in the park. This was the Fuhai Lake and it is indeed the largest body of water in the park. As one would expect, this was a very nice place to walk around. I was trying to go around the lake to get to the next area in the park but I encountered a dead end where there was construction and there didn’t seem to be any way around it.

Because of this, I was forced to retrace my steps around the lake and try to find a way to the next area. Maps were not very common in this park and it was quite difficult to ascertain where I was in the park. There were some directions but they seemed to be more general. I was trying to look for a map to no avail. Anyway, I was merely trying to follow the arrows from the signs hopefully it will bring me somewhere interesting. Along the way, I was seeing some wonderful scenery. Wish I had someone to walk with.
