Path Through the Lotus Garden 莲花公园 in Ji'an 集安
The Lotus Garden at the center of Ji’an was a surprisingly pleasant place to be in. The weather was great for going around and exploring. There was some rain but it was still okay. What was nice about the park was that Ji’an was already quite laid back by itself, the park makes this feeling even more pronounced. The park has enough trees to make it feel like a garden. It even has ponds where there are lotus flowers growing. Hence the name of the park.

It was amusing to see people fishing on the pond, though I’m sure it was quite illegal, but no one seems to be looking. The pond was a nice place to hang around and with the weather like this, it was quite an attractive place to hang out and just watch life go by. There weren’t too many people in the park at that time. Perhaps it is because it was a working day and most people will be at work. Then again, I don’t think I have seen Ji’an that busy yet.
