When it was time to go back to the hostel, I was more confident now since I now know exactly where to get off and which bus to take. The bus stop outside the Siberian Tiger Park was a mere bus stop sign and if it weren’t for the people standing there I wouldn’t have noticed it. There bus arrived in no time and after a transfer of buses, I was finally back at Daoli District. I felt proud of myself having successfully commuted to an unknown place in an unfamiliar city. This can never always go smoothly so I normally budget some time for those cases. In this case, I had some time before I need to move on so it was time for lunch!

I didn’t know what to eat here again, I thought of going back to the few places I’ve been to bus decided against it. I passed by a dumpling place called Jiaozi Renjia 饺子人家. It was a restaurant and they had a lot of dishes as well, despite their name, the people at the restaurant were promoting dishes which had nothing to do with dumplings. Northeast China is acutally known for dumpling it just so happened that I just had a hankering for dumplings so I ordered a plate of dumplings. I remembered the last time I ordered two plates and had trouble finishing it. I think one plate would be just right. The dumplings they had weren’t fantastic, but they weren’t bad either. Add some vinegar to the dumplings and I was ready to go.
