Quick Breakfast in Shanghai 上海

Frying Buns En Masse

My friend’s trip to China is about to end, and this means that it was time for shopping, which is usually done at the end of the trip. Fortunately, our hostel is just at the perfect place for shopping, being just a stone’s throw away from Nangjing Road East. But before all the shopping, we would first go for some breakfast. As it turns out, my friend wanted to go back to this restaurant they went to the other day before I even got to China.

Xiaolongbao Again

It was at a food street and the place was still deserted since the office folk had still not come down yet. The place looked like an old Chinese house which was renovated to be a restaurant. We naturally had some dumplings and noodles for breakfast which happen to be the specialty in Shanghai. The fried buns 生煎 weren’t as nice as the ones we had in Suzhou. Before, I would have said that they were nice, but after having that one, I would not touch another fried bun again.
