Suzhou Times Square at Night

Suzhou Times Square is where we will be having dinner tonight. However, the restaurant we were planning to eat at was still full and we will have to wait around 45 minutes to get a table. Wow, that’s got to be some good restaurant for them to wait that long. Interestingly, there was no queue outside. Maybe they get SMS messages when their turn is almost up. With 45 minutes to spare we decided to explore the sprawling shopping center. Our local contact had another friend meet up with at Times Square and we were delighted to meet new people here, they were really very gracious, even if I didn’t know any of them.

Like the Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou Times Square is also built by Singapore companies, and you can see that they took great liberty of maximizing the location offered to them. The mall itself is divided into multiple areas which we probably won’t be able to fully explore. Most notably it their liberal use of the water that it present in the area. Much like the waterways which Suzhou is well known for, Suzhou Times Square also replicates this feature with numerous promenades and walkways which make use of the water. This is probably one of the most beautiful and relaxing malls I have been to.
