A Small Boat on the West Lake 西湖
The West Lake is the most famous of Hangzhou’s attractions and it is undoubtedly a great place to just stroll around. Not surprisingly, there are a lot of boat ride operators along its banks and their services vary. It would be a shame not to try out the boat ride as it is probably one of the highlights of visiting the Hangzhou. My friends were eager to try it out, as for me, since I have companions this time around, I might as well try it out too. I didn’t do it the last time, fortunately, I got another chance.
Another Tourist Boat on West Lake 西湖 Near Xiao Ying Zhou 小瀛洲
We took one of the sturdier looking boats for around thirty people. The way the boat rides work is you get two rides and you can decide which way you want to go. There are several drop off points around the lake so tourists don’t have to go back where they originally started. Our first destination is the Xiao Ying Zhou Island 小瀛洲. This island is one of the primary destinations on the lake itself and not surprisingly, a lot of visitors come here. Now, I will see what is so interesting about this place.
