I feel much more comfortable now that I have company. It has been years since I travelled with people I actually know beforehand. The difference now is that I have actually been to the place so I was something like a tour guide. Well, not really, they have been taking the lead in deciding where to go and I was just tagging along for the ride. One of the places they wanted to visit was Longhua Temple. This was supposedly one of the more significant temples in Shanghai. I haven’t been here either so it is worth a visit. I did let them know to visit the places which I haven’t been to before I got there.

Although transportation in Shanghai is quite convenient, it was still some trouble to get to the temple, this included getting on a metro with shared stations including platforms. This means that you need to pay attention to which train is passing by. Unfortunately, this won’t be so easy with non-Chinese reading people as there was sign which says which line was coming. Anyway, it was a rainy day when we were going to the Longhua Temple, and the temple was still several blocks from the metro station.

One of my companions, of all things, had to change money at a Bank of China branch there. It seems that the staff wasn’t really familiar with foreign currency and was struggling to find out if it was genuine or not. Eventually, we got the money. But when we headed out to the Longhua Temple, we discovered that it was already closed. It was already past four in the afternoon, not surprised that they were already closed. I was telling them that we went all the way there to change money. Anyway, we took a few shots and started heading back. We were meeting someone for dinner.
