Pudong 浦东 Skyline at Night

It certainly took a while to get dark here, surprising since I was still trying to get used to the early darkness here in China as compared to Singapore. The sun was down at around 5:30 in the afternoon, however, it is not guarantee that the lights will turn on. Although there was still sone sunlight left, some of the buildings were already starting to turn on their building lights. The view of the Pudong Skyline at night is one of the things that I have been wanting to see here in Shanghai. Although it was already my third day here, I have yet to see the night scene.

I wasn’t disappointed, the lights were already turning on and it was getting more and more like a scene from Hong Kong. Some of the buildings here are more outlandish though. The more modern buildings like the Jinmao Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center proudly stand in the night sky. Not to be outdone are the small tower which have their own light show. Of course one of the more prominent structure is not an office building at all, it is the Oriental Pearl Tower, either you love it or you hate it.
