I finally needed leave Mount Tai as I needed to meet up with my friend one last time before I move on. Thus I was faced with a dilemma. Do I take the cable car route down the mountain or do I take the scenic route down. This wasn’t really a tough choice, one of the most famous features of Mount Tai is the staircase that leads from the base of the mount to the top. I actually passed by the staircase but decided to take a look around the top of the mountain first.

As expected, there were a multitude of people huffing and puffing their way up the mountain. Looking at them, I was thankful that I didn’t decide to climb up the stairs, although that would have been an interesting activity. Alas, it won’t be fun to do that if one were to climb alone, although I could always strike a conversation with the locals on the way up. It would be the start of a 1 1/2 hour walk down the stairs so I might as well start walking.
