The imperial garden at the inner court is quite interesting. This is naturally the place where the emperor would spend time appreciating nature and just kicking back. Although not as big as the other imperial gardens as the ones I have visited previously, this one is definitely more manageable when it comes to exploring. Despite that, there it no lack of things to see here. The garden is littered with numerous buildings, one of the interesting ones in the Pavillion of Ten Thousand Spring Seasons 万春亭.

The Pavillion of Ten Thousand Spring Seasons immediately caught my eye since it had a rather unconventional architecture. This pavillion was built in the Qing Dynasty and it is unique because the base of the pavillion is rectagular while the top of the pavillion is round. Not only that, the inside of the pavillion is quite impressive too. There was a very intricate ceiling design that goes with that pavillion. At the center of the ceiling is a golden dragon which seems to be holding the ceiling light.
