The small town of Shek O is really a pleasant place to be in. It was quite enjoyable to be just wandering around the town and actually seeing the sky, unlike the more well known parts of Hong Kong. So you can just imagine how enjoyable it really was to walk around the town. The town itself is not really filled with notable buildings except one, the Tin Hau Temple here in Shek O. Although one of several Tin Hau Temples in Hong Kong, this was marked for possible inclusion on their list of historical monuments. Tin Hau Temple is built in honor of the Chinese goddess of the sea, Tin Hau or Tian Hou.
