The city of Manila is home to one of the largest historical sites in the country – Intramuros or the Walled City. This place was what Manila was during the Spanish times, the entire city was surrounded by walls to protect it from outsiders. Inside all the Spanish elite stay including the rich and religious. It is a city onto itself as it contains several large churches in its area.
