The Grand Palace complex can be divided into small groups, one of these groups is the Phra Maha Monthian Group. The main feature being the Phra Maha Monthian, which is basically a large hall for receiving guests. The main feature of this place is the throne where the king seats when receiving guests. This is also where the king receives the invitation to rule the kingdom as well as where the actual coronation takes place.

Unfortunately, photos were not allowed to be taken inside the halls itself so I was left with taking photos outside the building. The halls were practically empty except for the throne itself which wasn’t particularly impressive considering that it is the king’s throne.
