On my way to the town of Dimiao, we passed by the town of Loay where at the time seemed to be a very busy place. I thought to myself how interesting it would be to visit this place. When I came back to Loay I remembered to come back to that very busy place. But all the people were already gone. It turns out, that spot was a fishport in Loay and the people there were just unloading their fish and people from all over Bohol were buying fish right there.

All the people have since disappeared and all the boats were now back in the docks with only a few people cleaning the place. It doesn’t seem to be private property so I just wandered in the place to take some shots. There were a few ships docked at the fishport but all the fun seems to be over. When I woke up this morning they were already on their way back to the fishport. That made me realize how lazy I was.

Beyond the fishport was a small promenade where strollers can appreciate the sea. I was amazed at how clean the sea was here in Loay. It was a far cry from the murky water I see in Manila. It really looks very inviting and I really wanted to take a swim because of the extremely hot sun. Well this place isn’t really a place for swimming since these isn’t a beach year. This is just a normal piece of sea to the locals. The water has a nice deep blue hue to it that makes it almost blend in with the sky. I felt very lucky that the weather was just perfect. This is yet another of those places that is not found any travel guide, all you need to do is just walk right in.
