Room in Casa Juana in Tagbilaran City

The Supercat ride from Cebu was a pleasant one, not before long we were already seeing the island of Bohol. The sun was going down now and I was looking forward to my stay here in the provincial capital of Tagbilaran. Then our Supercat suddenly slowed to a crawl until we were just still in the water. I was thinking that perhaps there the pier was crowded so were were not able to dock yet. Minutes passed by but there was no announcement. All this time the engine was running but we just weren’t moving.

After a few more minutes, the announcement came. It seems that our propellers got caught in some fishing lines are the crew was frantically trying to get rid of them. Oh well, what can we do? It was not as if I have a place to rush to anyway. After around 30 minutes of waiting the Supercat finally came back to life and we were on our way. By this time the sun had already set and we can see the lights of Tagbilaran City.

When we docked I needed to find a place to stay. Fortunately, there was some sort of a tourism office at the dock and I asked for suggestions on where to stay. The guy recommended a few places but I settled for a place called Casa Juana. A tricycle driver brought me there, along the way, he kept selling me the tour of Bohol he offers. It seems tourism is a big thing here in Bohol but I was not in the mood for a tour, I figured I could figure out the place on my own.

The tricycle driver left me his number just in case I wanted to take advantage of his offer. Casa Juana is in the middle of a busy commercial district in Tagbilaran City. There was a Chinese restaurant below it and a souvenir shop beside it. Fortunately a room was available. I wanted a single room but the smallest they have is a double because the place is fully booked because of a convention of some sort. Anyway, I was tired and I wanted to rest so I took the room.

The room wasn’t really very surprising. It was bare with two beds and it had its own shower. No hot water though. The room comes with airconditioning and a TV. I guess it was okay for me since I am not really picky when it comes to accomodations. At least it has airconditioning. I quickly dumped my stuff and head outside to find something to eat. Fortunately, Casa Juana was in a commercial district so I don’t need to worry about finding places to eat.

  1. We would like to inquire if there still available room good for 11 persons. We are planning to go to bohol on May 1 to May 4. How much is the cost of board&lodging. Is the land tour included in the package and also a one tour in cebu. Are you also picking your visitors from the airport and back. How much? ASAP
