Grilled Fish at Hong Phuc

After exploring Hoi An at night, we went by the river to get dinner. The whole stretch of the river is loaded with restaurants serving all sorts of cuisine. But since we are in Vietnam, I must have Vietnamese food. Of the many excellent restaurants in the area, we chose this place – Hong Phuc.

Hong Phuc is a Vietnamese restaurant. It has a nice a cozy feel to it. It has two levels, if you’re lucky you can get the upper floor facing the river. There were already a lot of people there but still managed to get seats. Most of the patrons were foreigners, so I wasn’t sure whether this is really a good place to eat or not.

We ordered two dishes, one squid dish and one fish dish. While both of the dishes were very tasty. I liked the fish the most. It is grilled fish comes with some shavings of lemon grass on it. It gives a very unique and desirable taste to the fish. I wish I knew how to cook that. It turns out that it was the best place I eaten at during my whole trip. I highly recommend eating there.
